Sr. Concetta started Senior Iowans, which later became the Commission on Aging for Senior Iowans. At that time, the Scott County Commission on Aging was what Fr. Mottet called “a talking group.” Senior Iowans organized a group of senior citizens who went to the city council to get a traffic pattern changed. The Council adjusted the timing of the traffic light. That was a small institutional change.
